TECHNOLOGY OPTION / CANDIDATE FOR EVALUATION

Namin imaging sonar for port inspection.

A potential acoustic-imaging payload for low-visibility underwater work. Equipment selection and a supply proposal follow a review of the port task, host platform and delivery requirements.

Investigate what the camera cannot clearly show.

The brochure describes the C750D family as imaging sonar for rivers, lakes and coastal water, with deployment on underwater and surface platforms. For port customers, a possible role is acoustic observation of quay structures or targets selected for closer inspection.

Marine RoboTech would assess the installation, operator workflow and recording requirements for the selected vessel or ROV. Current stage: candidate selection. Port trials and application-specific performance validation are next steps.

SPECIFICATION SNAPSHOT

Maximum range is a catalogue value, not a guaranteed detection distance for a particular target. The brochure lists separate titanium-housed C750DH and C750DH Pro variants rated to 1,000 m.

THE INFORMATION YOU NEED

Imaging and depth surveying serve different tasks.

An imaging sonar can help an operator observe and investigate underwater objects. A bathymetric survey requires the measurement geometry, positioning, calibration and quality control specified for the depth dataset.

The C750D imaging specifications alone do not establish suitability for a required bathymetric survey standard.

INTEGRATION POTENTIAL

A candidate payload, with interfaces to assess.

The brochure describes an SDK, a ROS sonar driver, and Namin Navigator software for sonar control, recording and playback. It lists Windows, Linux and ROS 1/2 support.

This provides a starting point for technical evaluation. Compatibility with a specific BlueROV2, FIFISH, USV or remote-operation system requires supplier documentation and a defined integration test.
